Synopsis

Ayumu Aikawa is a 16-year-old high school student who gets murdered while snooping around a suspicious house. He wakes up next to an armored girl named Eucliwood Hellscythe, who casually drops the bomb that she's a necromancer—and that she's brought him back to life as a zombie. Now that he's immortal, Ayumu decides to hunt down whoever killed him. While poking around a cemetery, he stumbles across Haruna, a wild girl dressed like a magical girl, actively fighting a bear with a chainsaw. After she takes it down, she tries to wipe his memory, but Ayumu accidentally absorbs her magic instead. Powerless now, Haruna basically forces him to become her replacement at hunting down "Megalo"—creepy monsters that slip into the human world and wreak havoc. Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? is about Ayumu's bizarre new routine as an undead teenager, where dealing with the supernatural just becomes another part of his regular day.
