Synopsis

After bombing a love confession, Masamune Okumura retreated into anime and manga. Now a second-year high school student and president of the Manga Research Club, he spends his days happily watching his favorite character—the angel Liliel. Things change when first-year Ririsa Amano shows up. She's obsessed with cosplay and somehow convinces the reluctant Masamune to be her personal photographer for a Liliel cosplay project. As Masamune gets pulled into the world of cosplay and photo editing, he reconnects with childhood friend Mikari Tachibana. She's been working as a model to catch the attention of some upperclassman, but realizes that won't work on an otaku like Masamune. So she joins the club and starts cosplaying too—really just trying to get him to notice her. The problem is, Masamune loves the fictional versions of these characters, not the real girls wearing the costumes.
