Synopsis

Daigo Kagemitsu is a greedy samurai lord whose land is crumbling. Desperate for power, he renounces Buddha and strikes a deal with demons. Twelve of them answer his prayers, bringing prosperity to his domain in exchange for a terrible price: when his first son is born, the child is a grotesque mass of flesh—no limbs, no face, no senses. Somehow, impossibly, he's still alive. The newborn is thrown into a river. But a wandering medicine man fishes him out and equips him with prosthetics and weapons, giving him at least a fighting chance. As the boy grows, he remains blind, deaf, and numb to the world around him. Yet he has a purpose: hunt down the twelve demons and reclaim the body parts they stole from him. Years pass as he travels alone, until he crosses paths with Dororo, an orphan kid who becomes his unlikely companion. Together, these two damaged outcasts navigate a brutal, demon-plagued world, fighting not just for survival, but for their humanity.
