Synopsis

Kirito and Asuna make it through to the fifth floor, only to find themselves surrounded by beautiful but eerie ruins and mysterious catacombs. The peaceful exploration doesn't last long, though. The Dragon's Knights Brigade and the Aincrad Liberation Squad—the two biggest guilds pushing to clear SAO—are butting heads more than ever, and their conflict is destabilizing the entire frontline operation. With tensions boiling over, Kirito and Asuna don't have much choice. They assemble a small team of trusted allies and throw together a risky mission to try and fix things. It forces Asuna and Mito to finally hash out their complicated relationship, especially after what almost happened between them back on the first floor.
