Synopsis

Hikari Tsutsui is your typical socially awkward otaku—buried in video games and anime, constantly mocked and isolated by everyone at school. His only real friend is Yuuto, who's just as into gaming and happens to wear cat ears. They're basically two sides of the same friendless coin. When Tsutsui gets stuck cleaning the pool as punishment one day, he crosses paths with Iroha Igarashi. He immediately tries to avoid her because her reputation precedes her: she's blunt to the point of rudeness, hated by other girls, and known for fooling around with guys. Getting involved with someone like that seems like nothing but trouble. But 3D Kanojo: Real Girl is really about these two misfits finding each other. Tsutsui's dealing with feelings he's never had before and doesn't know how to handle, while Iroha's on a mission to pull him out of his shell. It's a story about two outcasts learning what it means to connect with someone.
