Synopsis

Joe Shimamura and his fellow cyborgs face off against the Bresudo—a shadowy group of superhuman beings with extraordinary intellect who've secretly shaped human history since ancient times. Nobody really knows what they want, and most people don't even believe they exist. An American journalist named Lucie Davenport travels to Texas hunting for answers, which is where she stumbles onto the cyborgs. These days, the cyborgs have stepped back from their old role as humanity's protectors, especially since the UN Guardian troops took over that job. They're just trying to live normal, peaceful lives now.
