The Chosen Children are reeling after Meicoomon's sudden betrayal. The Digimon had only recently joined them with her partner Meiko, but now she's turned against the group. Koushirou's racing to figure out what infection is controlling her, while Takeru notices something terrifying—his own partner Patamon is starting to show the same symptoms as the infected Digimon. Then Homeostasis reaches out with grim news. Both the real world and the Digital World are facing total destruction, and the only solution is a "Reboot" that'll reset all the data in the Digital World and purge the infection. The problem? It'll also wipe out every Digimon's memories, including the partners the Children have bonded with. Now they're in a race against time: find a way to stop Meicoomon before Homeostasis pulls the trigger, or watch everything they've built with their Digimon disappear forever.
