Synopsis

Tajimi is famous for its ceramics, and it's also where Himeno Toyokawa's mother came from. Her mom was a legendary potter, but she died when Himeno was only four years old. These days, some of her mother's distinctive mugs are on display at the Toyokawas' restaurant in the city. Himeno's family recently moved back to Tajimi after her father's business went under in Tokyo. On her first day of high school, she brings a few of her mother's mugs along, hoping to connect with people. It works—a girl named Mika Kukuri spots them right away and gets curious. Mika introduces Himeno to Tooko Aoki, who runs the school's Pottery Club. When Himeno learns about her mother's influence on the club and pottery itself, she decides to ask her dad about joining. He's supportive, so she signs up. With Mika and her childhood friend Naoko Naruse by her side, Himeno enters the Pottery Club to follow in her mother's footsteps and find out what pottery means to her.
