Synopsis

Jiang Ziya was once the top disciple of Jingxu Hall and fought alongside his master in a brutal war against demons, particularly the Nine-Tailed Fox. He was even the first to ascend the Stairway to Heaven, making him the obvious choice to lead the gods someday. But things fell apart during his final mission to kill the Nine-Tailed Fox. The demon tricked him with an illusion, showing him an innocent girl trapped inside the beast's body. Jiang Ziya hesitated, freed the fox to save the girl, and paid the price—banished to the North Sea with his powers sealed. He'd stay there until the fox's illusion no longer haunted him. A decade passes. Jiang Ziya's now living in exile at the North Sea with his buddy Shen Gongbao and a creature called Si Bu Xiang. One day at a bar, he crosses paths with a girl named Xiao Jiu who looks exactly like the girl from that old illusion. She's wearing a strange bracelet—one that belonged to the Nine-Tailed Fox—and it supposedly shows her visions of a place where black flowers bloom. Not knowing what to make of it, Jiang Ziya decides to tag along with Xiao Jiu to Mount Youdu. What starts as a simple journey to find answers becomes something much bigger, pulling them both toward truths about the past war that neither of them expected.
