Synopsis

"Kin No Tori" is an anime adaptation of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale "The Golden Bird." When a golden apple disappears from the royal garden, the King tasks his three sons with standing guard and catching the thief. The youngest son, Hansu, manages to obtain a feather from the golden bird responsible for the theft. Impressed by this evidence, the King orders all three sons to find the bird itself, setting Hansu off on his quest. The film was finished in 1984 but didn't see theatrical release until three years later.
