Synopsis

Back in feudal Japan, ninja were nearly godlike warriors dominating the country. Some of them performed a forbidden ritual—a special kind of suicide that allowed them to preserve their souls at Kinkaku Temple, waiting to be resurrected someday. Their true history got buried and forgotten. Fast forward to a future where technology rules everything. Those ancient ninja souls suddenly wake up and start terrorizing the sprawling megacity of Neo-Saitama. Fujikido Kenji is an ordinary office worker whose wife and kid are killed in a ninja gang war. When death comes for him too, a mysterious ninja soul possesses him instead. He survives and transforms into Ninja Slayer—a relentless warrior bound by vengeance, destined to hunt down and kill the evil ninja plaguing the city. Now Ninja Slayer wages his personal war against the Soukai Syndicate in the dark underbelly of Neo-Saitama.
