It's 1983, and Hinamizawa has been locked down. A mysterious, deadly virus has shown up in this small village, and the residents—including teenager Keiichi Maebara and his friends Mion Sonozaki and Rena Ryuuguu—are pretty much lost and terrified. As people desperately search for ways to contain the outbreak, some start making increasingly extreme decisions. This pushes Keiichi and his friends to look for an escape route. But as tensions spiral, not everyone's guaranteed to make it out alive. They're fighting for survival against threats that are both very real and impossible to see coming.
