Traveling merchant Kraft Lawrence and the wolf deity Holo share a meal with Norah Arendt, a shepherdess who helped them smuggle gold. Holo's jealousy and distaste for shepherds make it hard for her to relax and enjoy herself—especially with Norah hanging around Lawrence.
