Lily visits an amusement park themed around a frog mascot with her parents. While exploring the Frog Castle attraction, she pulls a sword from its stand. According to the park's lore, defeating a giant snake with this sword will make the Frog King grant any wish. She manages to beat it, which transports her to the actual Frog Land where she meets the Frog King himself. The king gives her an impossible task: she'll transform into a frog unless she can open the Gate of Hope before an egg in front of her hatches. Out of nowhere, a suited man named Knodo appears, claiming he's supposed to be her little brother. Confused and unsettled by him, Lily bolts. He chases after her, and they both end up tumbling into the water together.
