Amon is a young boy with mysterious powers. His father is the Empire of the Golden Snake's chief scientist—he's built weapons for them before, but refuses to let his son's abilities be weaponized. When he destroys his research and attempts to flee the country with his family, his parents are killed in the escape. Amon survives and goes on the run from the military. He eventually reaches an island where he discovers the history of an ancient people who could fly on the wind and communicate with animals—abilities that Amon himself possesses. From there he makes his way to a fishing village, where he befriends a girl named Maria. When the Golden Snake army attacks the village, the two escape and join up with a group of rebels. Together, they work to stop the Empire of the Golden Snake's conquest and destruction. Adapted from C.W. Nicol's novel.
