Synopsis

During his second year at Naoetsu Private High School, Koyomi Araragi runs into Tsubasa Hanekawa, his class's top student. They chat for a bit, and Hanekawa brings up a weird rumor—there's supposedly a vampire with blonde hair and icy eyes hanging around town. Araragi thinks nothing of it and heads home in good spirits, happy to have a new friend. But on the way, he notices blood smeared down the subway stairs. His curiosity gets the better of him, so he follows the trail deeper into the station to find out what happened. What he discovers is shocking: the blonde vampire from the rumor, completely torn to pieces. When she asks for his help, Araragi faces a choice that could completely upend his life.
