Synopsis

Tsukuyomi is a virtual world where people's hopes and dreams take shape. Iroha Sakayori is a busy 17-year-old high school student in Tokyo, juggling part-time work and school. She finds her escape watching Yachiyo Runami, a popular streamer who runs the online virtual space Tsukuyomi. In Tsukuyomi, people can live alternate lives and pursue their creativity freely. Iroha spends her time there supporting Yachiyo and playing battle games to earn some extra cash. Everything changes when she spots a telephone pole glowing with iridescent light on her way home. Out of it emerges an impossibly cute baby. Unable to leave her behind, Iroha brings the infant home—and watches her rapidly grow into a girl her own age. "Are you Princess Kaguya?" Kaguya turns out to be self-centered and demanding. She begs Iroha to help her start streaming in Tsukuyomi, and the two team up as producer/songwriter and streamer/singer. As they work together, they grow close. Neither realizes that something sinister is waiting in the wings—forces that want to drag Kaguya back to the moon. This is Princess Kaguya's story, reimagined.
