Synopsis

Fireworks are said to soothe restless spirits. For three teenagers—Tomoya Sugisaki, Aoi Harukawa, and Ryou Kobayashi—they're the key to encountering the Summer Ghost, a spirit believed to be a young woman who took her own life. This ghost only manifests in one specific location, and only those standing at death's doorstep can see her. Tomoya's drowning under academic pressure to secure his future. Aoi endures constant bullying from her peers. Ryou gave up basketball, his whole life, because of a devastating diagnosis. What connects them isn't friendship—it's that they can all see the Summer Ghost. And the ghost supposedly has answers to every question about death, something all three of them are desperate to understand. Unsatisfied with their first encounter, Tomoya decides to seek out the Summer Ghost again. As he spends more time with her, the truth about who she really is begins to surface.
