Synopsis

Suzune Miyama spent most of her childhood bedridden with a weak heart, but that never stopped her from dreaming of becoming an idol. When the seventh Selection Project rolls around—the same brutal competition that launched legendary idol Akari Amasawa to fame—Suzune finally gets her shot. She nails her audition performance and impresses both the judges and other contestants with her singing. Then her nerves get the better of her mid-performance and she chokes, blowing her chance at winning the preliminary round. It looks like that's the end of it. But then Seira Kurusu, the girl who actually won, does something unexpected: she drops out of the competition. She's convinced Suzune is the more talented singer and deserves to be there instead. Caught off guard but grateful, Suzune makes Seira a promise—they'll meet again as top idols. Now she's got to actually pull it off, no matter how tough the road ahead gets.
