Gad Guard
Hundreds of years in the future, Earth's resources have dried up and human civilization has stalled. Society is carved up into separate "Units," and the story follows a kid named Hajiki Sanada living with his mom and sister in Unit 74, a district called Night Town where the power grid shuts down every night at midnight. The real draw here is this mysterious object called a GAD. These things can reconstruct matter based on the emotions of whoever's holding them—the size and shape of what they create depends entirely on what the person is feeling. When Hajiki accidentally triggers one, it manifests into a massive robot that he dubs Lightning. Pretty quickly he figures out he's not the only one running around with one of these things, and he's got to figure out how to deal with the others who seem to be just like him.
