Kodaka just transferred to a new school and can't seem to make friends—partly because his blond hair makes everyone assume he's a delinquent. Then he stumbles across Yozora, a moody loner in his class, having a full conversation with her imaginary friend Tomo. They quickly realize they're both friendless, so they come up with an obvious solution: start a club and recruit other people just like them.
