Seikai no Senki II
Lafiel gets assigned as Territorial Ambassador to Lobnas II because the Bebaus brothers' expanding empire is moving faster than they can find diplomats to staff newly conquered worlds. When she and Jinto arrive, they find out the planet was basically a dumping ground for United Mankind's prisoners—a million of them crammed on a single inhabited island. The prison's divided into three sections: women on the west side, men on the east, and a mixed central area where everyone's been sterilized. Things get messy when the women try to flee the planet to escape the male prisoners. The men riot in response, break free from their guards, and grab Jinto as a hostage to prevent the women from leaving. Just when it's all falling apart, an enemy fleet shows up on the horizon, and Lafiel's forced to ditch Jinto and evacuate.
