Liz's lonely life changes when she meets a blue bird—a girl who brings her joy. But true love means Liz has to make an impossible choice. High school seniors Mizore and Nozomi are best friends tasked with playing the leads in the third movement of "Liz and the Blue Bird," a concert band arrangement inspired by this fairy tale. Mizore, quiet and reserved, takes the oboe as Liz. Nozomi, outgoing and energetic, plays the flute as the Blue Bird. As they rehearse, though, something shifts between them.
