Synopsis

During a fight with Gorilla Grodd at Arkham Asylum, Batman tries to destroy the villain's Quake Engine—but the machine activates instead, and the whole place vanishes. Batman gets caught in the blast and wakes up on an empty road with no idea where he is. Turns out he's landed in Feudal Japan, centuries away from Gotham. Things get weird fast. Samurai start hunting him immediately, and Batman soon discovers the Joker's behind it all. A chance meeting with Catwoman reveals the truth: Arkham's inmates got teleported here two years ago and have basically taken over the country, with Joker ruling as the main warlord. They've carved up Japan into territories and run the place like crime bosses. To get home, Batman needs to restart the Quake Engine at what's now called Arkham Castle—the asylum's ruins. The catch? He's got nothing but his utility belt. All his usual tech and weapons are gone. So Batman has to work with what little he has, fighting his way through this alternate version of Japan and taking on his rogues gallery in their new feudal setting, all while trying to get back to Gotham in one piece.
