Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious
Shinchou Yuusha: Kono Yuusha ga Ore Tueee Kuse ni Shinchou Sugiru
There's an old saying: you can never be too careful. And when it comes to RPGs, grinding levels way beyond what you actually need just makes sense. Seiya Ryuuguuin has taken both of these ideas to heart—maybe a little too much. When the goddess Ristarte summons him to save the world of Gaeabrande from destruction, Seiya seems like he'd be perfect for the job. He's got insane stats right out of the gate. But then he decides he needs to train. A lot. Like, an absurd amount of training. He overkills weak monsters with his most powerful abilities, hoards potions like they're going out of style, and generally acts like he's preparing for the apocalypse at every turn. It's kind of obnoxious, honestly. But here's the thing—Gaeabrande is genuinely messed up. Evil runs deeper and stronger than anyone expected. So maybe Seiya's paranoia is exactly what this world needs to survive.
