Synopsis

Takumi Harada is only 12 but already known as a gifted pitcher. When his family relocates to the small town of Nitta, he ends up on his new school's struggling baseball team—which doesn't bother him much. He figures it'll be more fun to single-handedly turn a nobody team into champions. The real problem is finding a catcher who can actually handle his pitches. Enter Gou Nagakura, a fellow student and Takumi fan who's determined to prove he's the real deal behind the plate, not just some loudmouth. As Takumi and Gou work to develop chemistry as a battery, Takumi rubs his teammates the wrong way with his cocky attitude. With help from his grandfather, he eventually learns what baseball is actually supposed to mean.
