Synopsis

Es wakes up in a mysterious facility called Milgram with no memory of how they got there. A talking animal named Jackalope greets them and explains the job: Es is now the prison guard, responsible for judging ten inmates. Each prisoner has caused someone's death in some way, and Es must dig into their minds to decide their fates. The core question driving everything is whether the inmates are truly guilty or innocent—and that judgment calls for weighing impossible things like intent versus outcome, and whether the reasons behind a killing matter when someone still ends up dead. In the end, Es can only choose between two verdicts for each prisoner: guilty or innocent.
