The Dead Moon Circus rolls into town with a sinister goal: free their imprisoned queen Nehellenia by stealing the Legendary Silver Crystal. Their method is brutal—they unleash creatures called Lemures that transform people's dreams into nightmares, harvesting the energy to blanket Earth in darkness and turn it into a lifeless wasteland. Usagi and the gang have to dust off their Sailor Guardian powers to fight back. Things get worse when Mamoru suddenly gets sick right after a total solar eclipse. Usagi and Chibiusa meet Helios, a pegasus who's panicking because the Golden Crystal has been sealed away. He insists it's the only thing that can save the world from what's coming. The problem? The eclipse has wiped out the Sailor Guardians' transformation abilities, leaving them vulnerable to the Circus's attacks. Now they're racing against time to get their powers back before darkness consumes everything.
