Synopsis

In the beginning, Yin and Yang existed as undifferentiated chaos until the Great Dao emerged, birthing spirits within it. These spirits created everything in the Spirit Realm and poured their power into nine sacred artifacts housed in the Valley of the Origin God. Those artifacts kept the realm stable and ensured its survival. Humans discovered they could cultivate fragments of the Great Dao—a force called Spiritual Qi—and the Torch Emperor became their first ruler. Realizing the Valley of the Origin God held immense power, he ventured deep inside, hoping to harness divine strength through a mortal body. But the Sacred Artifacts were far too powerful. The spiritual energy consumed him, and before dying, he declared that whoever inherited all nine artifacts would gain eternal life, living forever. Now ordinary people can only survive in cities protected by these artifacts. The Spirit Realm is split three ways between the Xuan Yang Clan, the Moon Clan, and the Mountain and Sea Alliance—a fragile balance that barely keeps the peace. Yingyue Liuli is the heir to the Shadow Moon Clan and incredibly talented. Her clan desperately wants her to lead them back to prominence. But Liuli has other plans. She'd rather kick back and live an easy, carefree life than bear that kind of responsibility.
