Synopsis

Creatures called Crimson Denizens—monsters from another dimension—are systematically hunting down humans and draining their life force. When they kill someone, all that's left behind is a "Torch," a fading remnant of the victim's soul that eventually vanishes completely, erasing any memory of that person ever existing. A group of warriors known as Flame Hazes have dedicated themselves to fighting back against these invisible killers. Yuuji Sakai's ordinary high school life gets turned upside down when he gets caught in a time distortion and attacked by a Denizen. A mysterious girl with striking crimson hair and burning eyes saves him at the last second. But before he can even process what's happening, Yuuji learns the worst part: he's already been turned into a Torch—a ghost of a memory with no time left before he disappears for good.
