Synopsis

Daisuke Niwa is your typical clumsy, dim-witted middle schooler with basically nothing going for him. On his 14th birthday, he finally works up the nerve to confess to his longtime crush Risa Harada—only to get shut down immediately. But then something weird happens. Whenever Daisuke thinks about Risa, he transforms into Dark Mousy, a notorious phantom thief. He has no idea why this is happening, but his mother certainly does. Turns out she's been planning this since before he was even born—she wants him to steal famous artworks and build up the Dark Mousy legend. Caught between confusion and doubt, Daisuke struggles to keep his relationships together with both classmates and family. And things get more complicated when he finds out his biggest rival—the one person he least wants to fight—also has their own destined family legacy to deal with.
