Synopsis

Over a thousand years ago, a powerful mage named Enno Ozuno faced off against Karuma, an evil demon goddess. Since he couldn't beat her alone, he called in Zenki, a formidable demon protector, to help seal her away. After the battle, Enno locked Zenki itself inside a pillar in his temple. Fast forward twelve centuries. Enno's descendant Chiaki now runs a tour guide business in the small town of Shikigami-cho and does exorcisms on the side to make ends meet. One day, a couple of thieves show up planning to crack the seal on the Ozuno temple and steal what they think is hidden treasure. Instead, they accidentally release something far worse—a dark entity that possesses the thieves and turns them into demons. Now Chiaki has to step up and use her family's power to summon Zenki before the chaos spreads beyond the temple and consumes her entire town. It's not exactly the inheritance she was expecting.
