Synopsis

After spending the summer racing against Gunma's best drivers, Takumi Fujiwara gets challenged by Ryousuke Takahashi, leader of the legendary Akagi Red Suns. Even though Takumi never really wanted to get into racing in the first place, he's pumped to finally race against Ryousuke—the infamous "White Comet of Akagi." To make things interesting, Ryousuke deliberately handicaps himself by downgrading his car, basically betting his pride and entire racing reputation on the outcome. Now it comes down to this: can Takumi's beat-up panda AE86 actually take down Ryousuke's Mazda RX-7 FC? And more importantly, who's really the fastest racer in Gunma?
