Synopsis

Spiritualist Himiko Se gets hired to look into a string of murders—all victims completely exsanguinated—and quickly realizes she's dealing with an actual vampire. The vampire in question is Miyu Yamano, who's not just undead but a guardian standing between the human world and the Shinma, a dark realm of god-like demon creatures. These Shinma are basically terrorizing people left and right, and one of them has been posing as a vampire to cover its tracks. As Himiko digs deeper, she can't shake her suspicion that Miyu might be lying about her innocence. It doesn't help that she genuinely can't wrap her head around why a vampire would bother protecting humans from anything.
