Synopsis

Nene Yashiro's life is a constant mess—between dealing with supernatural nonsense and trying to keep up with school, she barely has time to breathe. So when her school announces a sleepover, she's genuinely excited. Finally, a chance to relax with her best friend Aoi and the rest of her class. Too bad she has terrible timing: the sleepover falls on Urabon, the one night when the boundary between the living and dead gets messy, and all sorts of malicious spirits slip through. Things go south fast. As a dangerous ghost moves in for the kill, a mysterious guy named Shinigami shows up to save her. He's the Sixth Wonder, able to trap souls with his flute—cool, except he's clearly not a good guy. Instead of sticking around to chat, Shinigami grabs Aoi and vanishes, planning to use her as a sacrifice to seal the barrier permanently. Now Nene's stuck going on an actual quest into the land of the dead. With help from Hanako-kun and Akane, she's got to find Aoi and get her back before Shinigami can go through with his plan.
