Synopsis

Delinquent teen Takeru Narihira's been having the same dream over and over—monsters chase him, and a mysterious girl always saves him. He falls for her hard and promises that next time, he'll be the one doing the saving. Then a motorcycle crash throws him into Denji Heian-kyo, a high-tech version of ancient Japan's capital, where he finds the girl from his dreams: Tsukimiya. Except she has no idea who he is. Things go downhill fast when a black mist rolls into the city, turning people to stone and releasing monsters called oni. Only onmyouji—sorcerers who pilot magical shikigami suits—can fight back. When the mist hits, Takeru realizes he can transform and actually stand up to the oni. But it doesn't matter. He and Tsukimiya die anyway, and Takeru wakes up back in Denji Heian-kyo, this time two weeks before the mist appears. He's not wasting this second chance. He swears to become an onmyouji and save Tsukimiya, no matter what it takes.
