Synopsis

The Mach 5 is one of the fastest and most advanced race cars ever built, loaded with gadgets and a seriously powerful engine. It's driven by Gou Mifune, a teenage kid desperate to break into professional racing. There's just one problem: Gou's father Daisuke, who actually built the Mach 5, wants nothing to do with his son racing. But Gou's got support from his girlfriend Michi, his younger brother Kurio, and Kurio's pet monkey Sanpei—they're all rooting for him to become the greatest racer around. Of course, it turns out professional racing isn't that simple. Gou quickly discovers he's up against dirty tactics from shady businessmen, serious competition from his rival Racer X, and plenty of other obstacles standing between him and his dreams. He's got a lot to prove before he can even think about winning.
