Synopsis

Gran and the crew of the Grandcypher are on the run from the Erste Empire when they get an unexpected offer: a chance to negotiate a ceasefire. They meet at Albion Citadel, a neutral ground, where they're greeted by Vira Lillie, the Lord Commander and an old friend of Katalina's from her days training there. General Furias shows up to make things official with a pardon, but the whole thing still feels off. To ease the tension, Vira throws a gala for the crew. Things seem to be settling down—until it becomes clear that Furias and the Erste delegation have no intention of leaving. Then comes the real shock: the crew learns there's a Primal Beast on the island, and shortly after, Katalina sends word that she's resigning. Gran immediately sets out to track down Katalina and find out what's going on. Meanwhile, Eugen and Rackam stay behind to dig into why the Empire is really sticking around. Something doesn't add up, and they suspect there's a lot more to this than a simple ceasefire agreement.
