Aoi Aioi lives with her older sister Akane, the two having lost their parents to a tragic accident thirteen years ago. Since then, Akane's raised her alone, so Aoi's determined to move to Tokyo after graduation—both to take the pressure off her sister and to chase her own dream of becoming a musician. Her inspiration? Shinnosuke "Shinno" Kanamuro, Akane's ex-boyfriend, who left town years ago to pursue guitar professionally and never came back. One day while practicing bass in a guest house, Aoi's shocked to find an 18-year-old Shinno standing there—the version of him from thirteen years in the past. Then, out of nowhere, the present-day 31-year-old Shinno shows up too, except he's completely different from who he used to be.
