Synopsis

Hikoichi and Osato are trying to sell a pile of watermelons near the castle when they cross paths with Chuemon, a chief counselor who's completely stressed out. A messenger from a neighboring country has shown up with some ridiculous demands, and Chuemon desperately needs someone smart enough to help him out of the mess. Hikoichi's willing to step in, but only if Chuemon agrees to buy every single watermelon they've got—assuming Hikoichi can pull off a battle of wits and actually solve the problem. Using clever thinking and unconventional tactics, Hikoichi manages to turn impossible situations into winnable ones. The drama unfolds with a steady rhythm of wit and bravery.
