Synopsis

This 3D CG-animated movie is based on Hikiko, a figure from Japanese urban legend. The story follows a girl who suffered brutal abuse from both her parents and classmates throughout elementary school, leaving her severely disfigured from the constant violence. Seeking revenge, she abducts schoolchildren and drags them across the ground, causing severe injuries. There's a clever wordplay element: her full name, 森妃姫子 (Mori Hikiko), spells out 引き籠もり (hikikomori) when reversed—a Japanese term meaning social withdrawal or reclusion.
