Synopsis

The Iwatobi High School Swim Club has been around for a year now, but they still haven't managed to recruit a single new member. With Haruka Nanase and Makoto Tachibana entering their final year, along with juniors Nagisa Hazuki and Rei Ryuugazaki, the pressure's on—if they can't get fresh faces in the door soon, the club shuts down next year. On top of that, graduation's looming, which means the seniors need to figure out what comes next. Rin Matsuoka, now captain of the rival Samezuka Academy swim team, knows exactly what he wants: to go pro. Haruka and Makoto aren't so sure about their own futures yet. Then things get complicated when Sousuke Yamazaki, an old friend of Rin's and a highly scouted swimmer, transfers to Samezuka. His arrival stirs up some real tension between him, Rin, and Haruka.
