Episode 1: "When the Buckwheat Flowers Bloom" Heo Saeng-won is an aging market vendor who's spent his whole life as a peddler. After a long day at the marketplace in Bongpyeong village, he heads to an inn with a fellow peddler, Jo Seon-dal, where they meet Dong-i, a young itinerant vendor. As the three walk together under the moonlight past blooming buckwheat flowers, Heo Saeng-won feels an unexpected connection forming with Dong-i. Episode 2: "Spring Spring" A man works day and night as a servant for someone who's promised him his daughter's hand in marriage as payment. But the man keeps delaying the wedding, claiming his daughter isn't old enough yet. Frustrated and furious, the servant finally challenges him to a decisive match. Episode 3: "A Lucky Day" Kim drives a rickshaw for a living. Despite his wife telling him she's seriously ill, he heads out to work anyway. That day, he gets an unusually high number of customers, which makes him uneasy—he suspects something bad must be coming his way. After a grueling day, he returns home with a nagging sense of dread that he can't shake.
