Synopsis

After making it through the qualifying round, the Kitauji High School concert band is ready to tackle the Kansai regionals. They spend their summer at band camp, where Noboru Taki and his professional musician friends put them through intensive training. Kumiko and the others are laser-focused on winning gold at Kansai, but things get complicated when a former member wants back in—and that decision dredges up some baggage for the second-years. Meanwhile, Kumiko discovers some unexpected history in Taki's past that explains why he's so driven to get the band to nationals. If they want to make it that far, everyone's going to have to push harder than ever, and their commitment's about to be seriously tested.
