Narumi Fujishima looks like your average high school student, but he's actually a cynical loner. Constantly moving because of his father's job, he never stuck around long enough to fit in anywhere. Everything changes when his cheerful classmate Ayaka Shinozaki basically forces him to join the gardening club. That's where he meets Alice, a brilliant hacker who lives isolated above Hanamaru, the ramen shop where Ayaka works. Turns out Alice is running her own private detective agency—and all her operatives call themselves "NEETs" (Not in Education, Employment, or Training). Narumi gets pulled into the agency after a personal brush with crime. From there, he's thrown into the deep end with this mismatched group of detectives, taking on dangerous cases while trying to uncover the crime syndicate that seems mysteriously connected to Alice herself.
