Synopsis

It's the late Edo period, and everyone's plotting to take down the Tokugawa shogunate. Shinjuro Tateoka is just the quiet son of a respected dojo master, but when his father Tessyusai gets sent off on a shogunate mission, the whole place falls to him to run. The dojo's hemorrhaging students, so they start taking in young female trainees to stay afloat. Things seem to settle into a decent rhythm—until the shogunate orders all the major dojos to patrol the city because of a wave of robberies. But these aren't your average thieves. They're organized and clearly after something bigger than just loot. Shinjuro's suddenly caught between keeping up his new life surrounded by attractive women and actually doing his job for the government.
