Synopsis

This magical retelling of Carlo Collodi's classic follows lonely carpenter Geppetto, who carves a puppet that mysteriously comes to life before he's even finished. He names him Piccolino and raises him as the son he never had. Though the wooden boy is mischievous and constantly gets into trouble, his good heart wins Geppetto's love. Everything changes when the cunning fox Dino and his cat partner Witch trick Piccolino on his way to school. They sell him and his friend Gina the duck to a puppet master, leaving him with almost no chance of seeing Geppetto again. Piccolino escapes and sets out to find his adoptive father, launching himself into one misadventure after another. No matter how hard he tries to stay out of trouble, it always finds him—especially with Dino and Witch constantly scheming. But Piccolino has one real wish: to become human and reunite with Geppetto. If he can finally manage to stay out of mischief long enough, maybe his dream will actually come true.
