Synopsis

Mai and Kasumi collapse in the real world after hearing a strange sound while playing the newly released MMORPG "The World." While Mai recovers, Kasumi falls into an unexplained coma. The game's creator, Tokuoka Junichiro, then tells Mai that six other players across the country have suffered the same fate. Desperate to save her friend and stop whatever's happening, Mai teams up with Junichiro and others to figure out what "The World" really is, what that mysterious sound does to people, and why it's putting players into comas. It's a race against time to uncover the truth before more people get hurt.
