It's UC 0096, several months after the whole Laplace's Box situation wrapped up. The Earth Federation sends an investigation team to check out the severed Axis, which is just floating around in space. Two civilians tag along—Arlette Almage and Danton Hyleg. Both of them have sketchy pasts working for Zeon and Neo Zeon, one as an engineer and the other as a test pilot. Once they get inside Axis, things go sideways fast. The team gets attacked in a base where absolutely nobody should be, and Arlette and Danton find themselves dealing with something they never saw coming.
