Blue Comet SPT Layzner
Aoki Ryuusei SPT Layzner
It's 1996, but not quite the one we know. Humanity's made it to space—lunar bases, Mars colonies, the whole deal. Problem is, the Cold War never actually ended. It just moved up there. The US and Soviet Union are locked in an arms race that's gone cosmic, with military installations orbiting overhead and the threat of nuclear annihilation hanging over everyone on Earth and beyond. On Mars, things were supposed to be different. The UN's just launched the "Cosmic Culture Club," a peace initiative bringing together 16 teenagers and their instructor Elizabeth to a UN base on the Red Planet. One of them is 14-year-old Anna, who's narrating all this. It's meant to be about understanding and cooperation. Then everything goes to hell. Four massive humanoid robots—classified as Super Powered Tracers—show up out of nowhere and start tearing into each other. The UN base gets caught in the middle of the fighting and is obliterated. Most of the kids don't make it. Only six survive: Anna, Elizabeth, Arthur, Roan, David, and Simone. They're now stranded on a hostile alien world that's suddenly become a war zone. When the dust settles, one of the robots lands near the survivors and cracks open. Out steps a pilot who delivers a single, chilling message: "Earth is at stake."
